ASACP Honors Fleshlight, Hot Movies, Lion's Den as September's Featured Sponsors

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced that three of its veteran corporate sponsors: Fleshlight, The Lion’s Den and Hot Movies are its Featured Sponsors of the Month for September.

According to ASACP executive director Tim Henning, September marks “Back to School” season, when many students are given their first computer, which is often required for their schoolwork and homework — chores that may take place beyond the gaze of parents, school administrators, librarians and other stakeholders in youth development.

“Schools foster curiosity on the part of students,” Henning, said. “Unfortunately, this level of curious exploration won’t end when a child’s supervised Internet use ceases, it begins there.”

By following proactive initiatives such as adhering to the ASACP Code of Ethics and market-specific Best Practices, online organizations offering age-restricted wares make a difference in the global campaign to maintain the innocence of youth.

“ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program is designed to recognize the achievements of those companies that have demonstrated a desire to protect themselves by protecting at-risk kids,” Henning added. “By doing the right thing, these business owners are setting an example that is worthy of being followed by all companies operating in the online and mobile arenas.”

ASACP said that Hot Movies, a stalwart Sponsor of ASACP since 2004, employs a tech-forward business approach that extends into the company’s use of the ASACP-provided Restricted To Adults (RTA) website meta label, as a means of preventing access to their sites by underage users; working in conjunction with the efforts of concerned parents, institutions and other parties.

The Lion’s Den, another long-term ASACP sponsor said, “The Lion’s Den fully understands that human sexuality is a personal and sensitive matter and its desire is to protect children from exposure to products and services intended for adults only."

Fleshlight’s parent company, Interactive Life Forms, LLC, was also honored this month as a company that is on the forefront of innovation in sexual health and fulfillment, and which has been an ASACP Sponsor since 2007.

ASACP said that sponsors such as Fleshlight, The Lion’s Den and Hot Movies show the diversity of industry support for ASACP and its mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment, while highlighting the commitment to business leadership and self-regulated stewardship that typifies today’s market leading adult oriented companies.
